Tillandsia Purpurea Shooting Star grows terrestrially in the coastal deserts of Peru along with species like T. Latifolia and T. Paleaceae. It is a beautiful species with soft, delicate, silvery, light green leaves. It produces lovely highly scented flowers that are purple and creamy white inside.
All of the plants will be shipped bare root.
Tillandsia Purpurea requires good light. It is considered easy to cultivate but beware of excess moisture and lack of light.
No soil is needed. Sand, sea glass, rocks, pebbles & bark chips can be used instead of soil.
Water twice a week in summer, once a week in winter according to the luminosity and the ambient humidity.
