Tillandsia Matudae is rare in commercial cultivation. This Mexican air plant has a silvery grey-green colour making it easy to confuse with much more common Tillandsia Velickiana. The difference really becomes apparent when the plant flowers. Tillandsia Matudae can be somewhat variable, producing a similarly pendulous inflorescence to that of Velickiana but ranging in colour from orange-red to yellow-green when compared to the soft pink of Velickiana. The flowers themselves are white and extend beyond the floral bract.
All of the plants will be shipped bare root.

It wants lots of light but we must go very carefully with direct sunlight especially in summer, it is best to partial shade.
No soil is needed. Sand, sea glass, rocks, pebbles & bark chips can be used instead of soil.
Moderate, 3 times in summer, and once every 15 days in winter.
