Plectranthus neochilus (Lobster Flower) is a perennial ground cover with highly fragrant, partially scalloped, ovate leaves.
Flowers are purple blue inflorescent spikes. Overall the plant almost resembles a succulent lavender bush, with oversized flowers. It flowers like crasy in Spring thru Fall, creating a soft haze of long-lasting attractive purpley-blue 3” spikelets loved by bees. Grows quickly to 12” tall and 3’ wide.
It’s a smart choice for carefree edging in sun or shade and dry difficult spots. Fills the air with a heady ganja scent when watered. Be sure to give it decent drainage and compost regularly. Protect under 32°.
Plants may be shipped bare root.
