Rhombophyllum dolabriforme, more commonly known as Elkhorn Plant, is a low semi-shrub Mesemb with multiple upright branches that can reach up to 12 inches (30 cm) in height. Its green leaves are vertically flattened, about 1.2 inches (3 cm) long with an axe-like shape, tooth-like tips and translucent dots all over.
From mid-spring, R. dolabriforme produces large yellow daisy like flowers up to 1.6 inches (4 cm) in diameter with numerous thin petals. Its growing season is in the spring and summer and it becomes dormant during winter.
Plants may be shipped bare root.

Full sun to Partial sun.
Water thoroughly only when soil is dry to the touch, then let drain completely. Reduce watering to a minimum in the winter.
R. dolabriforme is quite cold-hardy and can tolerate mild cold winters outside. Most can survive temperatures down to freezing point.
Repot during its active period, starting in spring.
You can propagate R. dolabriforme from cuttings. Let the cut callous over for a few days before planting shallowly in well-drained soil.
