Succulents love bright light, and they thrive in full sun to partial sun conditions or bright indirect sunlight. They usually need at least 4-6 hours of light daily. However, avoid the scorching sun to prevent sunburn.
They are drought-tolerant so they do not need watering very regularly. Water only when soil is dry to the touch. Avoid letting water sit for too long in the rosette to prevent rot and fungal diseases. Reduce watering in the cold season.
Succulents require well-drained and porous soil to grow healthy. Water should be drained fast to avoid over-absorption to roots. It is better to choose a commercial cactus mix, otherwise, you can make a well-draining soil mixture on your own by combining the equal parts of perlite or pumice and potting soil.
The best temperature for succulents is between 40°F-80°F. Bring them indoors when it is below 40°F.
Succulents can be fertilized once during the growing season (spring/summer) with diluted houseplant fertilizer.
